A sculptural testament to the ancient seafaring trade between Venice and Byzantium. Cold-forged from a solid 18K yellow gold ingot, shaped on an iron horn anvil, and textured strike-by-strike with specialized goldsmith chasing hammers. The resulting surface creates a warm, shimmering luminescence that evokes the golden mosaic vaults of Saint Mark's Basilica.
Inspired by the quatrefoil gothic openwork of Venice's Palazzo Ducale. Master goldsmiths draw solid 18-karat Italian gold into microscopic threads as fine as spider silk, twisting and curling each wire by hand before soldering them into open airy lacework. Accented with two freshwater baroque pearls harvested from Venetian lagoon waters.
